First post after the blackout

Finally things are getting back to normal here in China, Internet wise. All you not in China probably did not even know how bad it was. Over one week no internet at all. After one week you could sometimes access foreign websites but with loading times that reminded me of times when 14.4 still had a meaning. Now the internet is sort of back to normal but still not up to speed yet. They say the complete repairs will take at lease till the end of the month. Till then this means satellite connections which are much slower then cables.

It is scary how fragile this technology really is. One quake can kick a third of the worlds population back to the informational stone age. Anyway I am back so regular blogging in the future.

Well, I did notice - I mean it basically was all over the media (the RIGHT media)! The Lady also noticed that somehow downloads from China were a basic impossibility, so she had to stay without shows for at least a week :) In her panic she asked me: “Did they lock out China from the internet?!?” to which I answered: “Yep them bastards killed Kenny, yet again!!! Nahhhhhhhhh t’was a quake…” Damn ID-Soft >;o)
