Wow what a race! And Ferrari is finally back, sort of! I mean I personally would have liked to see Michael back on P1 but ok, 2nd is not too bad after what we all had to see the over the last couple of months. Hopefully Ferrari can keep improving.

2. Michael Schumacher - Ferrari
3. Ralf Schumacher - Toyota
4. Jarno Trulli - Toyota
5. Jenson Button - BAR-Honda

Hermannsdenkmal

Sunday, July 31st, 2005

Yesterday we took a little trip to Detmold to visit the Hermannsdenkmal and do some Geocaching nearby. The statue is pretty impressive, over 50m high, and on the top of a little mountain. It was built in 1875 to be a symbol of Napoleons demise and the unity of Germany, which was at that time a mosaic of 38 sovereign states. After this flash of history and a nice view over Detmold we turned our attention to seek Hermann’s Cache (GC8C41) and found it rather quickly. For everyone who is into adventure sports and such, there is the Teuto-Kletterpark where you can climb from tree to tree over ropes and wooden platforms.
After this we drove to Detmold’s airfield to get the Luftsport Cache Detmold (GCH0QB).
Was a nice afternoon trip, very interesting.

DVD Tip: Miss Congeniality 2

Saturday, July 30th, 2005
Product Image: Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous
My rating: 3 out of 5

A fun movie we watched yesterday on DVD.
Plot:
Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) is the new face of the FBI. But as her friends, Miss USA Cheryl and Stan, get kidnapped, she forgets her manners and style and tries to save them.

Rating:
A funny and entertaining commedy, at least as good as the first part.
I give it a 7 (out 0f 10)

Peking Express

Saturday, July 30th, 2005

RTL plant leider keine 2.

Notes/Domino Forum

Thursday, July 28th, 2005

I just saw that IBM gave it’s Notes.net forum a nice facelift. They put some tabs in to switch between different views, search and forum news.

Another handy tool I found for Firefox users: Now there is a search-plugin for the Lotus Notes Forum. Just search for “Notes.net” or click here.

New Address

I just redirected one of my domains to my blog. Now the address for the blog is simply www.hesspoint.com. That makes things easier and also once I probably switch my blog the adress stays the same.

Thinling of leaving Blogger

Thursday, July 28th, 2005

This might be my last post here at Blogger. I really like the plattform, but I need categories. I actually can’t understand why Blogger is denying its users such an essential feature. I event wrote a mail to customer service but no response :-(
It would be really cool if some of you could actually write them email to and bug them. Maybe they realize how important it is. Use this contact form.
Anyway I gotta get back at writing my master thesis…
